About Us

North West Area Mental Health Service is part of 'Melbourne Health' hospital network, that includes Royal Melbourne Hospital and is one of the largest public healthcare networks in Victoria.

North West Area Mental Health service provides clinical treatment and support to individuals and their carers and families who have a mental illness and also strives to address the issue of health promotion (increasing capacity for well-ness) and 'prevention' of avoidable contributing factors to people becoming ill in the first place.

We work in partnership with a diverse range of organisations, community groups, leaders, individuals and CALD populations across the lifespan  to undertake and sustain this important and quality of life-saving work!

Geographically, we serve people living in the Cities of Hume (such as Broadmeadows and Craigieburn) and Moreland (such as Coburg and Brunswick)situated in Melbourne's Northern suburbs...and with some projects like our Act-Belong-Commit and Five Ways To Wellbeing community awareness campaigns beyond these boundaries...

If you have an idea about how we can work together to create mentally healthy places for mentally healthier people - call us and lets talk!
